New Business:
- ● Negative Newspaper editorial in the Index Journal re McCormick County Council/contract for water break, and questioning councils’ decisions regarding the water break and awarding of Contract for Water services.
- ● A lively discussion pertaining to the Clear Water Solution (CWS) 6-month contract that the County Council approved. There have been negative newspaper articles written in the last month. Due to water leaks, pipes bursting during the freezing temperatures, the problem became more elevated. Charles Jennings explained to the MCDP the background in awarding the contract to CWS (no other bidders) and the emergency water situation that occurred during the freeze. Everything done was done with full council support and according to State bidding and awarding guidelines.
